Getting Started - For Farmers
How do I create an account?
You can sign up using your phone number or email through our website, mobile app (coming soon) or by dialing our USSD code (*920*505#). Once registered, you'll get access to your farm dashboard and marketplace tools.
Is Nkoko Connect free to use?
Yes. You can create an account and explore most features for free. Some premium features or listings may require a small service fee.
Can I use Nkoko Connect without internet access?
Absolutely. Our USSD platform lets you manage your farm, source inputs, and sell products even without a smartphone or internet connection.
What can farmers do on Nkoko Connect?
Farmers can record flock and feed data, buy feed, chicks, and vaccines, sell eggs, birds, and manure, connect with buyers and input suppliers, and find farm hands or technical help via the Jobs & Gigs module.
How can I track my farm's performance?
Use your Farm Dashboard to record daily inputs and monitor production trends such as feed efficiency, mortality rate, and egg output.
For Suppliers and Buyers
How do I list products for sale?
Go to your Marketplace dashboard, click "Add Listing," upload product photos, set your price, and publish. Suppliers can list items such as feed, chicks, cages, or equipment.
How do I buy items from the marketplace?
Search for what you need, compare prices, and click "Contact Seller."
Barter Exchange
What is the Barter Exchange?
Nkoko Connect's barter feature allows users to trade goods or services -- for example, exchanging feed for eggs or chicks for maize -- without needing cash.
How do I make a barter offer?
Go to the Barter Exchange section, select the item you want to trade, and describe what you're offering in return.
Jobs & Gigs
How do I find farm jobs or workers?
Visit the Jobs & Gigs page to browse available roles (vaccinators, caretakers, cleaners, drivers, etc.) or post a new job listing for your farm or business.
Are job seekers verified?
Nkoko Connect encourages users to verify their profiles for safety and trust. Verified workers display a "Trusted Badge."
